New Delhi: Following the devastating Delhi blast that killed 12 people and injured dozens, tensions have escalated along the India-Pakistan border. The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has reportedly been placed on high alert, with fighter jets conducting regular patrols near the Rajasthan border region, according to defense sources.
While the Indian Air Force (IAF) has not issued an official statement, internal sources confirmed that surveillance and radar monitoring have been intensified in border districts, including Jaisalmer, Barmer, and Bikaner. The move comes amid concerns that the recent explosion could have cross-border links, as initial investigations revealed the use of high-grade explosives commonly seen in previous terror incidents.
In response to the growing tension, the United Kingdom government has released a travel advisory for its citizens, urging them to avoid traveling within 10 kilometers of the India-Pakistan border. The advisory cited “increased military activity and heightened security situations” as reasons for precaution.
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has called for calm, emphasizing that India’s security agencies are fully capable of maintaining national security and investigating the Delhi blast independently. Meanwhile, intelligence coordination between central and state agencies has been intensified to prevent any escalation.
Local authorities in Rajasthan have also stepped up patrolling and border checks, ensuring that civilians remain at a safe distance from restricted zones.
Both nations have not issued any formal diplomatic statements yet, but security analysts warn that the situation remains “sensitive and unpredictable.”
