The Supreme Court has delivered a crucial ruling on the management of stray dogs across the country. As per the order, dogs that are caught but considered non-aggressive will undergo sterilization and then be released back into their areas. However, dogs identified as dangerous or violent will be kept in confinement to ensure public safety.
The court has also imposed a restriction on feeding stray dogs in public spaces, stating that such practices often lead to increased aggression and public inconvenience. Instead, designated areas may be identified for those who wish to provide food. This decision aims to balance public safety with animal welfare, while reducing stray dog-related incidents.
