Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc has made a much-anticipated return to the national One Day International (ODI) squad for the upcoming home series against India. After recovering from a minor groin injury that sidelined him for several weeks, Starc’s inclusion adds depth and experience to Australia’s pace attack.
Cricket Australia confirmed that all-rounder Mitchell Marsh will continue to lead the side, having impressed selectors with his leadership during the previous tours. The squad also features key players such as Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Glenn Maxwell, ensuring a balanced mix of youth and experience.
Head coach Andrew McDonald expressed confidence in the team’s preparation, highlighting that the series will serve as crucial groundwork ahead of next year’s Champions Trophy. “Starc’s return strengthens our bowling unit, and Marsh’s calm leadership has brought a positive dynamic to the dressing room,” McDonald said.
The three-match ODI series will begin in Sydney, followed by games in Melbourne and Brisbane. Cricket fans worldwide are eagerly awaiting the clash, as both India and Australia look to fine-tune their squads before major international tournaments.
