Mumbai, July 27: Actress Esha Deol has dismissed circulating rumors claiming that her father, veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra, has passed away. In an official statement, Esha clarified that the reports are completely false, adding that her father’s health is stable and improving.
“Please don’t believe in any false news. Papa is doing well and recovering under medical care,” Esha said, urging fans and media outlets not to spread misinformation during such sensitive times.
Earlier in the day, several unverified social media posts claimed that Dharmendra had died, sparking confusion among fans and industry colleagues. Even Defence Minister Rajnath Singh briefly shared a condolence post on social media before deleting it once the truth surfaced.
Family sources confirmed that the 88-year-old actor had been admitted for routine medical observation earlier this week and is now in a stable condition. Fans have flooded social media with messages of relief and support, praying for his speedy recovery.
Dharmendra, one of Indian cinema’s most loved stars, is best known for his roles in classics like Sholay, Chupke Chupke, and Satyakam. Despite health concerns in recent years, he has continued to make public appearances and remains active in family gatherings and film events.
As of now, there has been no official statement from the hospital, but close associates have assured that the actor is being given the best care possible.
