In a major security scare, two schools in Noida and Delhi received bomb threats via email on Friday, prompting immediate evacuation and police action. Bomb and dog squads were deployed to the sites as authorities conducted a thorough search.
Immediate Response and Evacuation
As per standard protocol, the campuses were immediately shut down to ensure student safety. The schools promptly informed parents about the threats, advising them to keep their children at home. Students who had already boarded school buses were sent back.
A message from one of the affected schools read:
“We are closing the campus for the day to conduct a complete sweep to ensure the safety of all.”
Link to Previous Fake Threats
This latest incident comes just a day after a 15-year-old Class 9 student was taken into custody for allegedly sending fake bomb threat emails to four schools in Noida. According to police, the student used Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology to conceal his IP address and location. His motive was reportedly to avoid attending school.
Police Investigation Underway
Authorities are taking these threats seriously, considering the recent trend of fake alerts disrupting schools. Noida DCP Ram Badan Singh confirmed that four schools—Step By Step, The Heritage School, Gyanshree, and Mayoor School—received bomb threats around 12:30 AM on Wednesday. The school administration reported the threats to the police, who are now investigating the source of the emails.
Security measures have been heightened, and officials are urging vigilance to prevent further incidents.
