Claim: Friends Say Ajit Pawar’s Flight Captain Was Not on Duty; Travelled to Baramati Due to Traffic Delay, Body Identified by Bracelet

New details have emerged in connection with the death of Captain Sumit, the pilot linked to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s aircraft, with friends claiming that he was not officially on duty on the day of the incident.

According to close friends of the captain, Sumit had planned to travel by road but chose to go to Baramati by air after getting stuck in heavy traffic. They stated that the flight was taken as a time-saving alternative and was not part of any scheduled duty assignment.

Friends further revealed that the captain’s body was later identified through a bracelet he was wearing, as the injuries made visual identification difficult. Authorities reportedly confirmed the identity after matching personal belongings.

The claims made by the captain’s acquaintances are now being examined by investigators as part of the ongoing probe. Officials have not yet issued a formal statement confirming whether the journey was official or personal.

The incident has raised questions about flight protocols, duty rosters, and travel arrangements, with aviation authorities expected to review all relevant records before drawing conclusions.

Further updates are awaited as the investigation continues.
