CBSE Class 12 Results Declared: Girls Outshine Boys, Over 87% Pass

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared the Class 12 board examination results today, bringing an end to weeks of anticipation for lakhs of students across the country. This year, the overall pass percentage stands at an impressive 87.98%, showing a slight improvement from last year.

Girls Lead the Way Again

Continuing the trend, girls have once again outperformed boys in the results. The pass percentage for female students is 91.23%, while for boys, it is 84.32%. Transgender students also performed well, with a pass rate of 84.68%.

Top Performing Regions

Among the top-performing regions:

  • Trivandrum recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.91%
  • Bengaluru and Chennai followed closely
  • Delhi region also showed strong results, with a pass rate above 90%

No Merit List, But Top Achievers Celebrated

As per its policy, CBSE has not released a merit list to avoid unhealthy competition. However, schools are recognizing top scorers and high achievers locally. Several students scored above 95%, with many shining in streams like Science, Commerce, and Humanities.

How to Check the Result

Students can access their results through:

  • The official CBSE website: cbse.gov.in
  • DigiLocker app and website
  • UMANG App
  • SMS (for registered mobile numbers)

They need to enter their roll number, school number, and admit card ID to access their individual mark sheets.

What’s Next?

The CBSE has announced that revaluation and rechecking applications will be accepted starting May 15, and compartment exams for students who did not pass one or two subjects will be held in July 2025.
